The library outdoor recreation area was opened on May 25th.
"Library Outdoor Recreation Area" offers a friendly environment for disabled people, and is accompanied by wood-plastic composite seating and flooring, creating a brand new place to relax in our campus. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Principal Jia-Yush Yen, Library Dean YanJyi Huang, Dean of General Affairs Jui-Sheng Chou, the leader of Maintenance and Construction section Yunci Zhang, Technical Supervisor Guangping Tian, the library section leaders Kuan-Yu Chen, Hsiao-ling Chin, and Hsiao-ping Lan.
With the strong support of the Office of General Affairs, this project went through ups and downs from planning, design, to construction. Overcoming all challenges, it took more than 4 years to finally complete an accessible ramp that complies with building regulations. Readers are welcome to enjoy reading or take breaks under the shade of the old trees.
The library also organized a guided tour, a tea party, and a lucky draw event on the same day.
During the lunch hour, a special activity titled "My Wonderful Moments at Taiwan Tech Library" was held in the light refreshments area. Readers were invited to share photos taken in any space within the library, capturing the memorable moments spent there.
